Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Logistics and Management – MAS HLM
Università della Svizzera Italiana - Lugano

MAS HLM is a part time master program intended for professionals in the humanitarian sector interested in advancing their managerial, quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills. The program is based on an interdisciplinary and integrative approach aimed at building understanding of pressing humanitarian issues and development of policies capable of addressing them. Through collaboration with several international humanitarian organizations the program provides a hands-on multi-institutional perspective on humanitarian relief challenges.
Next edition of the Master will start in January 2012. The master takes place at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (http://www.usi.ch/en/presentazione-studiare/executive_master.htm) for two weeks every two months, for a total of 22 months. The cost of the Master is CHF 16,500 (approx. Euro 11,200). The fee is payable in three installments and does not include accommodation and travel costs. Please note that we also offer payment schemes for students who are in financial difficulties and can only pay a given amount before the beginning of each block of classes.
All courses are conducted in English. An international cadre of professors, trained in the best institutions in the world and having years of applied experience, will ensure the program’s academic excellence, international orientation and relevance to practice.  The 22-months program is broken down into seven blocks, each of which explores different aspects of the four main modules: Organizational and Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management in Humanitarian Operations, Project Management, and Disaster and Emergency Management.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until December 20, 2011.
