The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Brussels is seeking to fill
the vacancy of Administrative Assistant  (GL.6) for its Bureau for Europe based in Brussels (ref. 14505)

We are looking for a motivated and flexible team player to work under the supervision of the Senior Resource Manager of the Bureau for Europe, and in close co-operation with the other members of the Office.

Time Frame:   Effective 1 July 2009

Qualifications:   Relevant post secondary training (Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field). Good written and oral communication skills.  Ability to research, interpret and apply financial and administrative rules; ability to take initiative, to multitask and to work in a multi-cultural, complex and fast-moving environment; ability to work independently as well as in a team with service oriented attitude and ability to conduct research. Knowledge of UN rules and procedures an advantage.

Languages: Fluency in English and French essential.

IT skills: Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with People Soft helpful.

Experience: At least 6 years relevant experience in administration/human resources/finance. Experience in an international context an advantage.
