L’idea di avviare, grazie al VIS, un gemellaggio tra l’Italia e la Nigeria è nata quasi spontaneamente dal fatto che la volontaria in servizio nel St.John Bosco Youth Centre di Onitsha è un’insegnante nell’Istituto Comprensivo “Mario Natalucci” di Ancona (Italia) e continua ad essere un’insegnante anche nel Don Bosco Training Centre di Onitsha (Nigeria).Durante il primo anno di volontariato (A.S. 2006-2007), si è realizzato un primo gemellaggio tra gli studenti dell’Ist. Comprensivo di Ancona e gli studenti della Scuola Tecnica di Onitsha.

All’inizio del secondo anno di volontariato (A.S. 2007-2008), in seguito all’apertura a settembre 2007 della Scuola Secondaria Don Bosco in Onitsha, si è preferito gemellare studenti della stessa età.

Così quest’anno si sta realizzando un gemellaggio tra gli studenti dell’Istituto Comprensivo di Ancona e la Scuola Secondaria Don Bosco di Onitsha.I ragazzi hanno già inviato (via email) le lettere di presentazione delle rispettive classi ed ora stanno elaborando temi sul “Diritto al Gioco e allo Studio”.

Al termine dei lavori di scambio di lettere ed elaborati, sarà allestita una mostra del materiale prodotto dagli studenti

Finalità:- Comprendere che la PACE non è solo un valore ma un diritto e un obiettivo da perseguire con gli strumenti della politica, dell’educazione e della solidarietà- Comprendere che la LIBERTA’ non significa fare ciò che si vuole, che la nostra libertà finisce quando inizia la libertà degli altri (responsabilità), che la nostra libertà esiste poiché ci sono gli altri che ci aiutano a definirla, come noi con la nostra aiutiamo loro a definire la propria, che la libertà diventa quindi un valore che ha come principio il rispetto dell’altro e quindi il rispetto reciproco.- Sapere che la LIBERTA’ si basa su DIRITTI e DOVERI rispettati in egual misura e si è liberi quando c’è un giusto “equilibrio” fra loro.“Se ad ogni diritto faccio corrispondere un dovere sono un uomo libero, mi sento realizzato, faccio cose che amo, ne ho soddisfazione e non urto le altre persone che mirano lo stesso ad esprimersi e ad essere soddisfatti come me”. Progetto di Educazione alla pace e ai diritti umani e progetto di gemellaggio

Responsabili del Progetto:prof.ssa Rosella Cristofori, prof.ssa Paola Lenci, prof.ssa Laura Marchetti Il calendario vuole essere, mese per mese, la condivisione di un futuro di pace fondato sui valori comuni indivisibili e universali di DIGNITA’ UMANA, di LIBERTA’, di UGUAGLIANZA, di SOLIDARIETA’, di CITTADINANZA, di GIUSTIZIA. PROGETTO DI EDUCAZIONE ALLA MULTICULTURALITÀ
“FILO DIRETTO: LE NOSTRE FESTE”

Premessa
    Il percorso di mondializzazione e la conseguente dilatazione degli orizzonti di riferimento sia a livello politico, sociale ed economico, ci pone di fronte alla scelta di gestire rapporti con altre culture in termini d’impegno reciproco. Da ciò l’esigenza di un’educazione interculturale attraverso la quale stabilire principi, valori e comportamenti che rispondano alle finalità di una promozione dell’interculturalità e forniscano efficaci strumenti di lettura del mondo contemporaneo.
  A partire dall’anno scolastico 2006/'07, il Progetto di Educazione alla Multiculturalità dell’Istituto Comprensivo “M.Natalucci”, proposto dalla Biblioteca “Aquilone Giallo e Blu”, ha  realizzato un percorso educativo interculturale caratterizzato da “L'esperienza di una professoressa”, “Un volo... per la Nigeria” e infine il “Diario di bordo...”. Queste le tre fasi di un cammino intrapreso con l’obiettivo di stimolare nei ragazzi la cultura della solidarietà e dell’interculturalità in seguito all’esperienza di Volontariato Internazionale di una docente dell’Istituto che ha scelto di prestare servizio come insegnante  presso la Missione Salesiana di “St.John Bosco Youth Centre” nella città di Onitsha (Nigeria).
  Durante l’anno scolastico 2007/'08, nell’ambito del Progetto “Filo diretto…”, si è attivato un  gemellaggio con la Scuola Secondaria Don Bosco della Missione Salesiana nigeriana sul tema “Il Diritto alla studio e al gioco” che è continuato anche nell’anno 2008/’09 (con la presenza nella scuola dell’insegnante ritornata in Italia) attraverso un lavoro di studio e di approfondimento della “Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti Umani e dell’infanzia”.
  Per l’anno scolastico 2009/’10 il Progetto Gemellaggio ha avuto come tema di scambio interculturale con la scuola di Onitsha una “Le nostre feste”: attraverso uno scambio epistolare tra gli alunni delle classi seconde della Scuola italiana e gli alunni della scuola nigeriana verranno selezionate e presentate le feste e le tradizioni più interessanti  delle rispettive culture.
  Inoltre, durante l’anno scolastico 2009/’10, nell’ambito del Progetto “Mr. Cittadino”, realizzato in collaborazione con il Centro Servizi per il Volontariato (CSV) di Ancona, che ha visto coinvolti gli alunni delle classi prime in un intervento educativo sul tema del volontariato, il gemellaggio è stato caratterizzato non solo da una corrispondenza, in lingua inglese, tra alunni italiani e nigeriani ma anche da una iniziativa di raccolta fondi (ottenuti attraverso la vendita di tappi di plastica) che i ragazzi hanno scelto di chiamare: “L’agente TAPPO in missione”. Tutte le fasi organizzative del progetto saranno gestite dalle insegnanti Cristofori Rosella, Lenci Paola e Marchetti Laura, insegnante che terrà direttamente i rapporti con Don Nicola Ciarapica,  Direttore della Missione Salesiana di Onitsha.  
Obiettivi generali
•Rafforzare la propria identità individuale e di appartenenza non in contrapposizione ma in comunicazione con gli altri
•Conoscere culture e modi di vita diversi dai propri
•Riconoscere e superare stereotipi, riconoscendo la relatività dei punti di vista e la necessità di saper cambiare il proprio
•Conoscere e rispettare l’altro
•Conoscere le espressioni artistiche tipiche di culture diverse
•Saper leggere consapevolmente i messaggi socio-culturali di popoli ed etnie diversi ed interpretarli rapportandoli al proprio modo di essere persona e cittadino
•Sviluppare il senso della solidarietà
•Rendere più concreto il concetto di “villaggio globale” e più visibile l’esistenza di legami di interdipendenza nel mondo
Obiettivi specifici
•    Favorire lo sviluppo di una coscienza interculturale attraverso il contatto con una realtà diversa dalla propria.
•    Mettere in evidenza e valorizzare la varietà e la ricchezza delle differenti identità culturali
•    presenti nella società attuale attraverso la conoscenza delle feste e usanze tradizionali
•    Conoscere stili di vita differenti dai propri
•    Mettere in contatto gli alunni con scolaresche di altri paesi favorendo, attraverso lo scambio delle rispettive esperienze, l’avvio di rapporti di amicizia, vivendo le relazioni con solidarietà, rispetto, reciprocità, iniziativa e collaborazione
•    Rendere comprensibile il concetto di “normalità” delle differenze attraverso un diretto e approfondito confronto tra giovani.

Azioni e interventi previsti e modalità di realizzazione:
1.Scambio epistolare tra gli alunni nigeriani ed italiani sul tema delle feste e usanze tradizionali: tradizioni a scuola, feste tradizionali (Natale, Pasqua, etc.); compleanni e onomastici; tradizioni religiose; tradizioni della propria città e del proprio paese; danze folcloristiche,  etc.
2.Lavoro di approfondimento in classe da parte degli studenti: per ogni classe è stato organizzato un percorso dai docenti referenti; i docenti aderenti al progetto potranno contare, prendendo accordi diretti, sui contributi concreti messi a disposizione dal team della Biblioteca.
3.Allestimento di una mostra-mercato: le produzione degli alunni realizzate  individualmente a casa saranno raccolte in una mostra mercato
4.Creazione di un albo per la documentazione dell'intera esperienza da depositare presso la Biblioteca.
Destinatari degli interventi:
Studenti delle classi prime e seconde.
Risultati attesi:
1.    Promuovere il recupero delle feste e delle usanze tradizionali
2.    Rafforzare la capacità di fare ricerca in aula, combinando testimonianze dirette e materiali di approfondimento
3.    Aumentare la sensibilità dei giovani sulle tematiche trattate
4.    Stimolare ad un’attitudine critica nell’analizzare fatti di attualità.

this is Anna here! I live in Ancona and I am 11. I and my friends are happy to write to you. This is my typical day:
I get up at 7.oo (I hate the alarm clock), I have a shower and I have breakfast. At 7.40 I leave my house and I arrive at school at 8.00. My lessons start at 8.15 and finish at 1.05 pm. I don't like school but I must go. My favourite subjects are Science and P.E.. In the afternoon I do my homework and I play sports: I run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I dance on Tuesday and Thursday. I like sports. My favourite sport is football. In the evening I play or I watch TV. I go to bed at 9.00 pm; it's very early but mum decided this way.
I go to school also on Saturday. My Sunday is different: no school and I play with my friends.
My best friends are Marco, Michele, Michael and Francesca. My hobbies are play with my friends, go to the cinema and listen to music. I like pop music and rock and roll. What about you? Write soon and be!!!!!!!

I’m Federica Altavilla; I live in Ancona,a little seatown in ITALY.
I’m 12 and I attend 1D.
My school called GIOVANNI PASCOLI.
Every day in my life are identical: I always get up at 7 o’clock a.m. and then I always go to school.
Sometimes the lessons are funny but the most are very,very and very stiring. My favourite subject is P.E. because it’s very funny and nobody interrogate .
I love basketball infact I do it at Mondays,Wednesdays and Thursdays with my two classmate called Francesca and Eleonora.
Another the basketball I love so much stay and play with my fiends because stay alone is boring and sad.

This is my typical day in my life:
I always get up at 7:00,I hate alarm clocks, I have breakfast  at  7:30 with cereals and milk, sometimes  I eat biscuits and drink tea. I go to school at 7:50……..my favourite subjects are French& English, I hate grammar!
I attend 1^D  at G. Pascoli school.  At break-time I eat pizza. My favourite days are: Saturday & Sunday……Saturday because I go to the cinema, Sunday because I don’t go to school and I get up at 9:30 !! My favourite sport is hip-hop and break dance. I have got a very beautiful hamster; his name is Tino!  It’s white and it is very fat! Infact my favourite pets are hamsters!!  I have got a brother, Eduardo, he’s 24………..

After school I go home and I do my tedious homework and then I go to Karate.

MY TYPICAL DAY!
Dear friends of Nigeria, I am Susan and I attend the class 1D. This is one of my typical day ... then ...
In the morning I wake up at quater past six and I have breakfast. My breakfast is very long and ends at quater to six. Then I watch TV. At seven o'clock I prepare my bag and run to the bathroom. I wash and go room to dress. Then I go into the living room, I brush my hair and wait for my mother. At seven fifty go to school with my mother. Always I arrive after the first sound of the bell, but I reach the classroom on time. After the sound of the second bell we prepare for the first lesson. At the sound of the bell for the range all come out of their classrooms and the corridor is transformed into a boulevard full of people. After school I go home with a friend and have lunch. At three o'clock I do my homework. The evening I have dinner and then I go to bed at half past ten.

This is a write up from a new friend Mbanu David.  I am sixteen year old, I am in JSS 3.  I study at Don Bosco Secondary School Onitsha Anambra State.  
This is a clue of what I do during the day.  At 5.00 am I wake up from sleep, I wash up.  At 5.30 am I go for liturgical celebration (Mass).  At 7.00 am I do my house chores and 7.30 am I take my breakfast.  At 7.35am I live the dormitory to the School and Classes starts from 8.10 am 3.40 pm.  At School I pay attention to the teachings of the teachers and I also like joking with my friends when it is break time.
My favorite subject is Mathematics and Agric Science.  When School is over, I go home immediately and at home, On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I do sports while on Tuesday and Thursday I do some manual works at home.  My hobby is playing football and reading of newspapers.  At 6.00 pm.  At 6.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
I listen to network news and at 9.30 pm I go to bed.  It is quiet but the School management decided.

I am at the age of 15th.  In our family we are three boys, I Jovani, Peter & Cyprian, my mother Catherine & my father Vincent.  We have no girl in our family.
I am schooling at Don Bosco Secondary.  There I am a Boarder I rise at 5 0clock in the morning & take my shower, 5:30 am at the study hall reading & doing my assignment.  6.30 I will go for Mass.  Then 7.25 am I take my breakfast and go to school by 7.40 am.  I am schooling because of my future but I hate Schooling because it has to do with much stress.
In my School I have many friends but my best friend is Eugene Uzochukwu.
I love the subjects in our School Physical & health Education, Art Agricultural Science, Mathematics Science & Government.
These are my hobbies: Olympic, gymnastic, jumping diving, shoaling soccer, basket ball and some army training

My name is Ezenwa Regimond.  I have gone through your work and I found out that none of us is far better than each other.  I have four brothers and a sister.  My both parents are alive.
I am a boarder at Don Bosco Secondary School Obosi Where I School.  I am thirteen year old and in class 2.  I have friends but I don’t seem to have any as best.  My best subject so far is CRK and I used to score high marks because I often hear the priest reading the Gospel on Sundays.  Although I am not good at football, but I took it as my favourite.  
I have reading (Novels) as a hobbies but sometimes I prefer playing Table Tennis.

I wake up at 5.00 am daily Monday – Friday, brush my teeth and take my bath.  At 5.30 am I go for my morning studies.  At 6.30 am I attend morning Mass at my School.  
My best subjects are integrated science, Mathematics, social studies, Business studies and intro tech.   My School lessons began at 8.10 am and finishes at 3.40 pm.  I also have lots of thinking to do such as examination of conscience and thinking about the activities.  
My hobbies are singing songs like hymns and playing tennis, table soccer, and reading my books to achieve a goal at the end of the term.

My best subjects are Maths, English Physical and health Education and Fine arts.  My best hobby is to play table soccer during time for Oratory; I play it with my friends.  My best sport is football.  In my School we do 10 subjects a day but as for Monday, Wednesday we do 8 because the remaining two last period we do some things such as Monday: group Animation, Wednesday sports, then Friday the first 2 period is for the holy Mass and the last 2 is for Library and class meetings the school begins by 8.05 pm and end at 4.00 pm.
