Nontheless, we'd like to give you an insight on the issue through this FREE WEBINAR!
The intersection emerges clearly in the most recent formula of the global agenda for sustainable development, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a set of 17 macro goals and 169 targets that are the subject of a global agreement signed in September 2015 by almost all the governments of the world.
But beside to this general and very broad strategic instrument there is a number of other agendas, more focused, either because inherent to specific themes or inherent to regional/local contexts. The best example are the implementation agendas of the three Rio conventions (CBD – Aichi Targets, UNFCCC Paris Agreement Implementation Guidelines, UNCCD Land Degradation Neutrality Setting Programme) or the EU's sustainable development framework programs and the national plans for sustainable development.
In such multiplicity of strategic contexts and scenarios, different for space and time, the interweaving of these agendas marks the environment as absolute protagonist, in the effort by the international cooperation system to align with them, according to the principles of Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (2005).
Therefore, environmental sustainability is not a goal for specialists and professionals only: it concerns everyone and will be really achieved only if the care for the environment will be spread in every place, in every individual, in every gesture and daily choice.
The demand for environmental sustainability grows all over the world and therefore the demand for people able to integrate the environment into planning and project management.
