General context of the project
The internship is situated within the Programmes Department at the Headquarters of the organization, with a start date of March 1, 2026, and a duration of six months under the tutorship of the DDG. The operational environment is that of a humanitarian organization, specifically requiring the candidate to share the INTERSOS mission and vision and possess a strong motivation for the humanitarian cause. The work involves engagement with global activities, including the implementation of the "Frontline Project" regarding humanitarian access and the execution of the Annual Action Plan 2026.
General purpose of the position
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Deputy Director General (DDG) in various tasks, ranging from the coordination of key change management initiatives to the implementation of projects focused on improving global humanitarian access. The position also entails administrative responsibilities, such as organizing meetings and workshops. Ultimately, the objective is for the intern to acquire a good understanding of the internal functioning of a humanitarian organization and to understand in depth the sectors and activities carried out by INTERSOS globally.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Support for the coordination of the key change management initiative whose responsibility falls under the DDG or the Programmes Department;
- Support in the implementation of the Frontline Project focused on improving humanitarian access globally for the organisation;
- Transversal activities of the Annual Action Plan 2026;
- Administrative support for the organization of meetings/trainings/workshops;
- Preparation of meeting agenda, minutes, translations;
- Any other task.
Required profile and experience
Education
- Ongoing university studies in Political Science/International Cooperation.
Professional Experience
- A previous voluntarism experience will be positively evaluated.
