General context of the project

INTERSOS is an international humanitarian organisation based in Italy and active in 23 countries around the world, providing assistance to the most vulnerable people. Since 1992, our workers have been bringing relief to populations affected by conflict, natural disasters, poverty and extreme exclusion. We provide medical care, basic necessities and emergency shelter, helping to meet basic needs such as the right to food, water, health, protection and education.

General purpose of the position

Support the Communication and Fundraising Unit for a period of 7 months, starting in mid-February 2026. The role will involve creating multimedia content to raise awareness of the activities carried out by INTERSOS in the various countries around the world where it operates.

The person will report to the External Communications Coordinator and will work in synergy with the Institutional Communications Manager and the Individual Donors Manager.

 

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Support in creating content for social media and the INTERSOS website (writing articles for INTERSOS magazine “Sul Campo”, elaborating graphics for social media, editing short videos for social media).
  • Support in managing the organisation’s website (creating pages with in-depth analyses on INTERSOS’ countries of intervention and landing pages for fundraising).
  • Support in managing social media (publishing content on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles).
  • Support for the creation of content for fundraising (writing fact sheets for integrated campaigns, texts for Dem and texts for landing pages).
  • Technical support during the organisation of events, in particular during the Humanitarian Congress held every year in October.
  • Support in the management of suppliers (external communication service agencies).

Required profile and experience

Education

  • Education in communication/journalism or international relations/cooperation.

Professional Experience

  • At least one year of experience in the communications sector, preferably in non-profit communications.

Professional Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Good ability to use Canva or other graphics programmes.
  • Good ability to use video editing programmes.
  • Good ability to use Wordpress.

Languages

  • Excellent knowledge of Italian.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Knowledge of French is considered an added value.

Personal requirements

  • Flexibility and excellent teamwork skills.
